“I have to start off touching on my gratitude for this program and what it’s done for me. Not only me also the ones close to me. Coming from an area where the majority of the population is on drugs in one form or another, it was like no matter how hard I tried I could never get away from it. Everywhere I turned, it felt like I was imprisoned by addiction and there was no way out.

One day sleeping on a couch in a hotel room I didn’t have a fight left in me, I was ready to give up. I had seen a friend of mine (Jay Hensley), and the progress he had been making, so I had decided to reach out and figure out if there was anything he could do to help. He responded with a number to call, a guy by the name Ken Fraser. Next thing you know Ken helped me get a bed in Beachside Rehab, and I was on a plane down to sunny South Florida. Never in my wildest dreams could I have pictured this. I did 30 days in the best treatment facility I’ve ever been to. I transitioned to the sober living house and continued my treatment in the Intensive Outpatient program they offer.

This opportunity has given me a chance at life. A chance to be a father to my kids. I’m currently still furthering my treatment through the Outpatient program, working on building a new life down here. I owe it all to the God of my understanding and Beachside Rehab. Without them and this opportunity I very well believe I may not be here, whether in jail or dead. I wish everyone suffering from addiction would just throw in the towel and give it a chance. There’s more to life out here. There IS life out here. God Bless you all. And thank you so much!!”
